The French comparative philosopher, Henry Corbin (1903 –1978) has offered a very specific concept and method for comparative philosophy throughout his studying the Persian Illuminative tradition. The overall purpose of this book is to brief and recapitulate his concept and method as a specific kind of the spiritual hermeneutics. This book introduces his formulation of the idea of phenomenology and its extension to hermeneutics in five steps, and then considers his interpretation of this idea as the esoteric hermeneutics to compare philosophical ideas.

 

 

 

 

2. ابن رشد و هماهنگی عقل و دین

The revelation-reason harmony, the religion-philosophy relationship, or the idea of rational interpretation of the Holy Quran had historically been one of central problems of Islamic philosophy and theology; and great minds of Muslim scholars had been concerning this challenging issue. .... Averroës elaborated different arguments to prove the claim that the independent reason has access to the same truth that revelation reports; that philosophy (wisdom) is able to explain what religion expresses; that the rational interpretation of the Holy Quran is legitimately possible or rather necessary.
